RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING NOTICE OF INTENTION TO PURCHASE REAL PROPERTY AND SETTING PUBLIC HEARING FOR CONSIDERATION OF FINAL ACTION RELATED TO PURCHASE OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT
525 MARSHALL STREET IN REDWOOD CITY
RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that
WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo is the lessee under that certain Lease with Option to Purchase Agreement (“Agreement”) dated July 19, 2006, for the real property and improvements located at 525 Marshall Street, Redwood City (the “Property”); and
WHEREAS, Government Code Section 25350 provides that no purchase of real property by the County with a purchase price in excess of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) shall be made unless a notice of intention to make the purchase is first published in accordance with that Section and Government Code Section 6063; and
WHEREAS, the proposed purchase price for the Property is greater than Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000); and
WHEREAS, this Board desires to consider the purchase of the Property pursuant to the terms of the Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that Clerk of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to publish a Notice of Intention to purchase the Property pursuant to Government Code Sections 25350 and 6063.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a public hearing be set for December 5, 2006, at 9:15 a.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Supervisors’ Chambers in the Hall of Justice, 400 County Center, Redwood City, as the date, time and place of a public meeting to consider the purchase of the Property.
