RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT A DONATION OF A COLLECTION OF VOLUMES AND JOURNALS RELATING TO CRIMINAL JUSTICE ADMINISTRATION FROM ALVIN W. COHN, PRESIDENT, ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE SYSTEMS, INC.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that:

WHEREAS, Alvin W. Cohn, President, Administration of Justice Services, Inc. wishes to donate 950 volumes and 160 journals relating to criminal justice administration to the Probation Department; and

WHEREAS, said donation valued at $6,040, will be used by Probation staff to perform research in the field of criminal justice administration; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been requested by the Chief Probation Officer to accept said donation for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and finds it necessary and desirable to do so;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED THAT the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized to accept the donation of a collection of books and journals valued at $6,040.00, for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, for use by the Probation Department and hereby offers its thanks to Alvin W. Cohn, President, Administration of Justice Services, Inc. for his generous donation.
