RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT DONATIONS FOR THE LIBRARY AND SPECIAL PROGRAMS AT THE MARGARET J. KEMP CAMP FOR GIRLS AND AUTHORIZE THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A GIRLS CAMP TRUST FUND

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that:

WHEREAS, George Corey, Senior Partner in the Law Firm of Corey, Luzaich, Pliska, de Ghetaldi and Nastari, LLP, wishes to donate $2,500 and the Law Firm of Corey, Luzaich, Pliska, de Ghetaldi and Nastari, LLP, wishes to donate $7,500 to the Margaret J. Kemp Camp Library housed at the Probation Department; and Jerry and Lisbeth Nastari wishes to donate $1,500 for development of special programs for girls at the Margaret J. Kemp Camp for Girls; and

WHEREAS, said donations valued at $11,500, will be used by Department of Probation staff and County Office of Education teachers to foster the education of adolescent girls at the Margaret J. Kemp Camp; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been requested by the Chief Probation Officer to accept said donation for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and finds it necessary and desirable to do so;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED THAT the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized to accept the donation funds in the amount of $11,500, for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, for use by the Probation Department and hereby offers its thanks to George Corey, the Law Firm of Corey, Luzaich, Pliska, de Ghetaldi and Nastari, LLP, and to Jerry and Lisbeth Nastari for their generous donation. And be it further resolved that the San Mateo County Controller establish a Margaret J. Kemp trust fund.
