Reappointments to the Emergency Medical Care Committee

RECOMMENDATION:

Reppoint Paul Brody, Kathryn Grossi, Jim Shannon, Sandy Reiter, Karen Tomczak to the Emergency Medical Care Committee to a term expiring March 31, 2010 and Donna Mattei to a term expiring March 31, 2009.

DISCUSSION:

The Emergency Medical Care Committee advises the Health Department and the San Mateo Medical Center’s Emergency Medical Services. Committee reviews annually each of the ambulance services operating within the county, ambulance services offered and first aid practices in the county. The Committee establishes and monitors emergency care guidelines, presents recommendations to improve emergency care and establishes and monitors critical patient treatment and transfer guidelines.
