The County concluded negotiations with the major employee organizations on November 15 concerning terms and conditions of employment. The Memoranda of Understanding for these unions, which are being presented to the Board of Supervisors, cover a three-year term beginning on November 5, 2006.
With conclusion of bargaining the County adopts resolutions that establish salary and benefits for the unrepresented employees. The recommended resolutions will cover a thirty-six month period of November 5, 2006 through October 31, 2009 and has the following major element:
General Salary Increases
Salaries will be increased by 3% effective November 5, 2006, by 3% effective November 4, 2007, and by 3% effective November 2, 2008.
|
Fiscal Impact
|
The total cost of the changes is approximately $14,526,711 over the thirty-six month term of the resolution.
