RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING
|
SANDRA KISSOON
|
2006 Women In County Government Public Service – the Extra Mile Award Recipient ***************************************
|
|
WHEREAS, SANDRA KISSOON has shown great leadership by striving for continuous quality improvement, embracing change, inspiring and empowering employees and showing a commitment to goal-directed management, all of which are essential to the position she holds as Vice President of Patient Care Services, as well as when carrying out the duties of Vice President of Long Term Care Services and in-patient nursing services; and

|
|
WHEREAS, SANDRA KISSOON’s focus on the San Mateo Medical Center’s goals has shown her commitment to constant improvement, which is evident in the contributions she made in creating an Infusion Center, bringing the Long Term Care Units into regulatory compliance, and developing a resident-centered quality improvement process; and
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, SANDRA KISSOON’s most recent accomplishment has been the leadership she has provided in the implementation of long term services at Burlingame Long Term Care Center, the second largest facility of this type in the state of California; and
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, SANDRA KISSOON oversaw the massive construction improvements that were necessary to upgrade the outdated and troubled building and handled the day-to-day crises, while never losing sight of the quality of care and economic goals that are the purpose of the organization; and
|
|
|
|
WHEREAS, SANDDRA KISSOON, who is highly respected, has continually mentored her staff with an inclusive and professional leadership style, which emphasizes teamwork, and has inspired many who work with her to complete Masters Degrees in nursing,
|
|
|
|
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby extends their hearty congratulations to SANDRA KISSOON on being the recipient of the Women In County Government’s 2006 Public Service – the Extra Mile Award and wishes her continued success in the years to come.
