RESOLUTION
   

THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING

 
KATIE SHARP

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

WHEREAS, on this 14th day of December two thousand and six KATIE SHARP is honored for her years of loyal and dedicated service to the San Mateo Medical Center Foundation; and

   

WHEREAS, KATIE SHARP earned her bachelor’s degree in French from the University of Missouri, and her nursing degree from the College of San Mateo, and trained at San Mateo General Hospital; and

   

WHEREAS, KATIE SHARP, in addition to being a registered nurse at the Tenderloin Free Clinic, also served as a French and Mathematics teacher; and

   

WHEREAS, KATIE SHARP has given of her skill and vision to numerous organizations including the Coyote Point Museum, the San Mateo High School PTA, St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, and the San Mateo County Grand Jury; and

   

WHEREAS, KATIE SHARP has been an outstanding member of the San Mateo Medical Center Foundation Board of Directors and served four years as its Chair; and

   

WHEREAS, KATIE SHARP led the San Mateo Medical Center through a successful $12 million campaign, including a $4 million challenge to build the Keller Women and Children’s Center, and has been the driving force in energizing the organization; and

   

WHEREAS, KATIE SHARP will be remembered for her accomplishments during her tenure, has demonstrated her leadership through tireless devotion of time and talent, and is admired by many dear friends and colleagues who will miss her passion,

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County expresses congratulations and sincere gratitude to KATIE SHARP for her unwavering leadership of the San Mateo Medical Center Foundation and best wishes for continued success.
