RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING | ||||
The History Guild of Daly City / Colma | ||||
Upon Its | ||||
25th Anniversary | ||||

WHEREAS, since 1982 the History Guild of Daly City / Colma has solely gathered, preserved, disseminated and promoted the rich annals of northern San Mateo County and the communities of Daly City and Colma (Lawndale); and | ||||
WHEREAS, the guild sponsors, operates and staffs a museum showcasing and highlighting more than 150 years of people and events that helped shape the region as a whole; and | ||||
WHEREAS, the guild carefully maintains historical photographs, documents, artifacts and other items to provide an unmatched source of information for researchers, students, authors and anyone else with such interests; and | ||||
WHEREAS, the guild plays a critical and unique role in ensuring that the myriad local chronicles are not forgotten nor lost because each is an irreplaceable window into the past for future historians. | ||||
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County congratulates the History Guild of Daly City / Colma for its quarter-century of dedication to keeping the past alive for the future. The Board hereby extends sincere wishes to the guild for luck in all endeavors, plus many more years of continuous excellence and success. | ||||
