RESOLUTION WAIVING THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL PROCESS, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH MICHAEL DALY FOR CONSULTING SERVICES, AND AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER TO MAKE MINOR MODIFICATIONS TO THIS AGREEMENT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $25,000

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement with Michael Daly for consulting services for the term from January 23, 2007 to December 31, 2007 for a total obligation of $166,400;

WHEREAS, this Board has been requested to grant signature authority to the Chief Information Officer to execute subsequent amendments and minor modifications to the Agreement in an amount not to exceed $25,000.00;

WHEREAS, this Board has determined that it is in the best interest of the County to waive the Request for Proposal based upon Contractor’s extensive experience with the Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS), expertise in our CJIS environment, and established familiarity with supporting County applications; and

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED 1) The Request for Proposal process is waived; 2) the Chief Information Officer is authorized to make minor modifications to this Agreement not to exceed $25,000; and 3) the President of the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed to execute said Agreement as is approved by the County Counsel for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
