Resolution Designating No Parking Zone in Public Rights-of-Ways - Various Areas

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the State of California Vehicle Code allows a local agency to establish no parking zones in public rights-of-ways; and

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that there is a need for new no parking zones on portions of Alpine Road, Cornell Avenue and Middlefield Road to provide for the orderly movement of traffic; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors has reviewed and concurs with the recommendation of the Director of Public Works.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

 

1.

No parking zones are declared to exist at the following locations:

 
 

Ø

On the southerly side of ALPINE ROAD commencing at a point approximately 125 feet westerly of the intersection of PIERS LANE and extending westerly, a distance of 265 feet, more or less.

 
 

Ø

On the northerly side of CORNELL AVENUE commencing at a point approximately 130 feet westerly of the intersection of CALIFORNIA AVENUE and extending westerly, a distance of 70 feet, more or less.

 
 

Ø

On the westerly side of MIDDLEFIELD ROAD commencing at a point approximately 47 feet southerly of the intersection of BERKSHIRE AVENUE and extending westerly, a distance of 20 feet, more or less.

 

2.

Said no parking zones shall remain in effect until rescinded by the Board of Supervisors.
