RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING:
1) PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT (SUHSD) FOR PROVISION OF ONE (1) ON-SITE SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER AND MANAGEMENT OF A SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICER PROGRAM, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $49,875; AND
2) SHERIFF TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY'S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that
|
|
WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the Sheriff’s Office shall assign one (1) on-site School Resource Officer to the Sequoia Union High School District (SUHSD) for provision of crime prevention services during the 2005-06 and 2006-07 regular school years at Woodside High School; and

WHEREAS, the Sheriff’s Office has assigned an on-site School Resource Officer to Woodside High School since 1994; and
|
|
WHEREAS, while assigned to Woodside High School, the School Resource Officer will work as a law-related education teacher and counselor as well as a law enforcement officer to further improve school safety and student development; and
|
|
WHEREAS, both parties now wish to enter into the Agreement, whereby the Sheriff’s Office will provide one full-time School Resource Officer, for a two year period commencing August 29, 2005 through June 8, 2007, in exchange for SUHSD reimbursement to the County of a total amount not to exceed $49,875; and
