BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING:

    1) THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT ONE TO THE AGREEMENT WITH JOHNSON CONTROLS, INC., INCREASING THE AMOUNT OF THE CONTRACT BY $50,000, FROM $92,164 TO $142,164; AND

    2) THE SHERIFF TO EXECUTE SUBSEQUENT CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY'S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS.

 
 

    RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

    WHEREAS, on March 1, 2005, the County executed an Agreement (30000-06-C241) with Johnson Controls, Inc., for the completion of various small security additions and enhancements for the San Mateo Medical Center / Health Services Campus; Burlingame Long Term Care Facility; and other Health facilities; and

 

    WHEREAS, the need for six (6) additional small security improvements, at various facilities, have come to light over the past months; and

 

    WHEREAS, both parties now wish to amend the existing Agreement by increasing the contract maximum by $50,000, from $92,164 to $142,164, and extending the term 12-months to December 31, 2008; and

 

    WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Amendment and has examined and approved same as to both form and content, and desires to enter into same:

 

    NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED THAT THE;

1)

President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized to execute Amendment One the Agreement with the Johnson Controls, Inc., for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board of Supervisors shall attest the President’s signature thereto; and

2)

Sheriff shall be authorized to execute subsequent contract amendments and minor modifications not to exceed an aggregate of $25,000, and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
