BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING:

1) THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT ONE TO THE AGREEMENT WITH RJ LEE SOLUTIONS, LLC, EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE CONTRACT SIX MONTHS TO JUNE 30, 2007; AND

2) THE SHERIFF TO EXECUTE SUBSEQUENT CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY'S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on December 6, 2005, the County entered into an Agreement (Resolution No. 67701) with RJ Lee Solutions, LLC to develop and deploy modules to the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) software in order to interface with the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Crime Laboratory, for an amount not to exceed $178,371.27 with a 13 month term commencing November 1, 2005 through December 31, 2006; and

WHEREAS, the deployment of the LIMS software will allow clients of the Sheriff’s Office Forensic Laboratory the ability to access reports, check on case status and enter case information for incoming evidence thus saving valuable staff time and real-time information to clients; and

WHEREAS, during the testing phase, the Sheriff's Office determined a new server and additional storage was needed in order to facilitate the deployment of LIMS thus delaying the project’s completion date; and

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to amend the existing Agreement by extending the term six months to June 30, 2007; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Amendment and has examined and approved same as to both form and content, and desires to enter into same:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED THAT THE;

1)

President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized to execute Amendment One the Agreement with the RJ Lee Solutions, LLC for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board of Supervisors shall attest the President’s signature thereto; and

2)

Sheriff shall be authorized to execute subsequent contract amendments and minor modifications not to exceed an aggregate of $25,000, and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
