RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT AWARD FROM THE GROVE FOUNDATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000 TO BE USED FOR THE SAN MATEO COUNTY ADULT DENTAL PROGRAM

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, The Grove Foundation realized a need for dental services for low-income non-insured or insufficiently insured patients; and

WHEREAS, on April 18, 2006, The Grove Foundation notified the County that it had awarded the San Mateo Medical Center a grant in the amount of $25,000 to be used for the San Mateo Adult Dental Program during Fiscal Year 2006-07; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance the Grove Foundation grant award, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the foundation will allocate funds in the amount of $25,000 for FY2006-07 for the provision of a program making comprehensive dental care available to low-income patients of San Mateo County; and

WHEREAS, this Board has examined and approved the grant award as to both form and content and desires to accept it:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to accept the grant award from the Grove Foundation on behalf of the County of San Mateo and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
