RESOLUTION
   

THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING

POLICE SERGEANT

CHARLES B. LANGLAIS

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

WHEREAS, SERGEANT LANGLAIS retired December 30, 2006 after a long and distinguished career; and

   

WHEREAS, SERGEANT LANGLAIS began his law enforcement career with the Hillsborough Police Department in 1974 as a Reserve Officer; and

   

WHEREAS, SERGEANT LANGLAIS was hired as a Communications Officer by the Town of Hillsborough on March 1, 1976 and became a Police Officer in March of 1977; and

   

WHEREAS, during his employment he was assigned as a K-9 Officer for over 30 years, and served as a Corporal from April 5, 1991 to November 1, 1993 when he was promoted to Sergeant and was part of the Foreign Affairs Program which started in May 2000.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, on the thirtieth day of December, two thousand and six, hereby honors and commends POLICE SERGEANT CHARLES B. LANGLAIS for his long and distinguished career with the Hillsborough Police Department, and thanks him for his many years of dedication to the safety and well-being of the community.
