Appropriation Transfer Request

RECOMMENDATION:

Approve an Appropriation Transfer Request (ATR) transferring $210,000 from Fixed Assets-Equipment in the Capital Purchases budget to Misc. Other Maintenance Expenses and Operating Transfer Out-Cap. Projects in the Facility Projects budget.

This agreement contributes to this commitment and goal by tracking capital equipment purchases and facility projects separately to enable SMMC to track the purchases and projects in relation to each department’s budget.

BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION

Organization unit #66708 was established to appropriate funding and track expenditures for capital equipment and project purchases at San Mateo Medical Center. It was then decided that facility and information technology projects be funded and tracked separately. This action aligns the previously approved capital expense budget to these units in order to prevent budget blocks.

FISCAL IMPACT:

This ATR transfers previously approved funding between organization units within the San Mateo Medical Center Financial Services Division. There is no change in Net County Cost.
