RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF ELECTIONS OFFICER TO RENDER SPECIFIED ELECTION SERVICES FOR THE MILLBRAE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL DISTRICT AND THE PACIFICA SCHOOL DISTRICT IN CONJUNCTION WITH A SPECIAL MAIL BALLOT ELECTION TO BE HELD ON TUESDAY, MAY 8, 2007

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, pursuant to state law, the Millbrae Elementary School District adopted Resolution No. 06-07-11 and Pacifica School District adopted Resolution No. 2006-12-06-B, authorizing in each District a Special Election by mail ballot, to be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2007, to submit to the voters a ballot measure to authorize a qualified parcel tax, and requesting the Board of Supervisors to render specified services to said Districts relating to the conduct of said Special Election; and;

WHEREAS, the County’s Chief Elections Officer has been asked to perform certain services in conjunction with this Election; and;

WHEREAS, the Chief Elections Officer is agreeable to providing said election services; and.

WHEREAS, in consideration of services and supplies to be provided by the Chief Elections Officer, the Millbrae Elementary School District and the Pacifica School District will reimburse the County for the costs of said services and supplies.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors authorizes the Chief Elections Officer to render specified election services for the May 8, 2007 Special Election.
