RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH SHELTER NETWORK FOR THE MOTEL VOUCHER PROGRAM AND TRANSITIONAL HOUSING FOR FAMILIES WITH SPECIAL NEEDS PROGRAM TO PROVIDE AN INCREASE OF FUNDING ALLOCATED FOR SHELTER NETWORK’S MOTEL VOUCHER PROGRAM AND TO ADD THE INCLEMENT WEATHER MOTEL VOUCHER SERVICES FOR SINGLE INDIVIDUALS, THE TERM WILL REMAIN THE SAME, JULY 1, 2006 TO JUNE 30, 2007, INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $300,000 TO $778,603, $22,659 IS NET COUNTY COST

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on August 1, 2006, this Board of Supervisors approved Resolution Number 068186 an Agreement between the County of San Mateo and Shelter Network for the Motel Voucher Program and Transitional Housing for Families with Special Needs Program; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors, for its consideration and acceptance, an Amendment to the Agreement with Shelter Network for the purpose of increasing the funding allocated for the Motel Voucher Program by $250,000 and to add funding for the Inclement Weather Motel Voucher Services for Single Individuals in the amount of $50,000; and

WHEREAS, the term of the Agreement remains the same, July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007, with a new total obligation of $778,603; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the form of this Amendment and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into said Amendment; and
