THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS

COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING THE HONORABLE

BEVERLY IVERSON

2007 Arts Educator

WHEREAS, BEVERLY IVERSON has taught Kindergarten through 8^th grade art education at Woodside Elementary for more than seven years in an interdisciplinary manner, which relates to the students’ daily curriculum, thereby offering the unique opportunity to provide information of every type of art medium used in a most engaging way; and

WHEREAS, BEVERLY IVERSON utilizes a stimulating art facility that was designed six years ago, the design of which she was involved; and

WHEREAS, as an art teacher, BEVERLY IVERSON has lead the students’ growth and development to excel in both two-dimensional and three-dimensional art; and

WHEREAS, BEVERLY IVERSON has provided work in depth for the students in art history and art appreciation utilizing the computer to reference related materials; and

WHEREAS, BEVERLY IVERSON is an inspirational leader with a constant flow of creative ideas, providing a wonderful example for kids and parents who are tremendously enthusiastic and supportive of her contributions to art education,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby commends art teacher BEVERLY IVERSON for her artistic and educational contributions to the County and wishes her continued great success.
