Adopt a resolution adopting plans and specifications, determining prevailing wage scales, and calling for sealed proposals for the Reconstruction of California and Cornell Avenues.

Vision Alignment

Commitment: Ensure basic health and safety of all.

Goal(s): Maintain and enhance the public safety of all residents and visitors.

The reconstruction of these streets will improve the condition of the road for the benefit of the public.

Background

Previous Board Action

1.

Adopted a resolution establishing minimum road standards for road improvements in the Princeton By The Sea Area.

2.

Adopted procedures to be used by Public Works to determine if property owners want minimum road improvements built on a specific street and the minimum road standard to be used in the design of the road improvements.

3.

Authorized the Director of Public Works to execute agreements with cities, utility companies and special districts for work less than $50,000 proposed to be done in conjunction with County road projects.

History

The street segments to be reconstructed, Cornell Avenue between Airport Avenue and California Avenue and California Avenue between Cornell Avenue and Prospect Way, and the standards to be used were based on the results of property owner surveys.

Discussion

Plans and specifications for the work have now been prepared.
