Appropriation Transfer Request

Recommendation

Approve an Appropriation Transfer Request (ATR) transferring $27,018,562 from Contractual Allowances in the SMMC operating budget to Medi-Cal Waiver in the SMMC operating budget.

Goal 21: County employees understand, support and integrate the County vision and goals into their delivery of services.

This agreement contributes to this commitment and goal by aligning budget and actual financials appropriately to ensure accurate reporting.

Background/Discussion

Major changes in the Medi-Cal reimbursement mechanism caused uncertainty on how to budget these funds for FY 2006-07. As a result, the revenue budget for the Medi-Cal Waiver was placed in a different account than where the actual revenue is booked. This ATR will align these.

Fiscal Impact

This ATR transfers previously approved funding between organization units within the San Mateo Medical Center Financial Services Division. There is no change in Net County Cost.
