RESOLUTION DESIGNATING THE CLERK OF THE BOARD AS THE FILING OFFICIAL FOR THE FAIR POLITICAL PRACTICES COMMISSION’S “STATEMENT OF ECONOMIC INTERESTS” FORM 700 FOR STAFF MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that:

WHEREAS, the Assessor County Clerk Recorder is the “Filing Officer” for the Fair Political Practices Commission’s “Statement of Economic Interests” Form 700 for all County officers and designated employees; and

WHEREAS, each County department has a “Filing Official” for the designated employees of that department. The “Filing Official” collects the forms and forwards them to the “Filing Officer.” Each of the staff members for the Board of Supervisors files his or her Fair Political Practices Commission’s “Statement of Economic Interests” Form 700 directly with the Assessor County Clerk Recorder; and

WHEREAS, it has been determined that it would be more efficient if the Clerk of the Board acts as the “Filing Official” who will then forward the forms to the “Filing Officer,” the Assessor County Clerk Recorder.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED: The Clerk of the Board shall act as the Filing Official for the Fair Political Practices Commission’s “Statement of Economic Interests” Form 700 for the staff members of the Board of Supervisors. The Clerk of Board will collect the forms and send them to Assessor County Clerk Recorder who is the “Filing Officer.”
