RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND
HILLCREST SENIOR HOUSING CORPORATION TO PROVIDE ADDITIONAL FUNDING IN THE AMOUNT OF $457,915 TO ASSIST WITH THE DEVELOPMENT OF AFFORDABLE SENIOR RENTAL HOUSING IN DALY CITY

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code, Section 31000, County may contract with independent contractors for the furnishing of special services to or for County or any Department thereof; and

WHEREAS, the parties entered into an Agreement to provide funding assistance for the development of affordable senior rental housing on September 19, 2006, Board of Supervisors Resolution No 068311; and

WHEREAS, construction costs have increased significantly since the project was originally conceived creating a significant funding shortfall; and

WHEREAS, Hillcrest Senior Housing has requested additional funding assistance for the development, and funds are available in the Department of Housing budget for such requests;

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the Agreement to provide additional funds for the project.

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance, an Amendment to Agreement between the County of San Mateo and Hillcrest Senior Housing Corporation, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, and the Board of Supervisors has examined and approved the same as to form and content and desires to enter into the same.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
