BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION A) AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LEASE AGREEMENT WITH GE CAPITAL MODULAR SPACE FOR FIVE (5) MODULAR UNITS AT TOWER ROAD EXTENDING THE TERM TO FEBRUARY 28, 2009, INCREASING THE AMOUNT BY $59,383 TO $155,383, WITH $59,383 NET COUNTY COST; AND B) AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY OR THE DIRECTOR'S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE LEASE AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY'S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, The County’s Department of Public Works and the Contractor entered into a lease agreement for the term of March 1, 2002 through February 28, 2003 for the purpose of leasing five (5) modular units at Tower Road to be used for the operation of a Change of Placement Program; and

 

WHEREAS, The County’s Human Services Agency and the Contractor entered into a lease agreement for the term of March 1, 2003 through February 28, 2007 by Agreement Number 74400-03-C181 to continue leasing the five (5) modular units; and

 

WHEREAS, the County and the Contractor wish to amend the lease agreement to increase the amount by $59,383 for a total obligation of $155,383 and extend the term for two years to February 28, 2009; and

 

WHEREAS, the Board is being requested to authorize the Human Services Agency Director or Designee to execute lease amendments which modify the County's maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions; and

 

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has been presented with a form of such lease extension agreement and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that

A) The President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said lease extension amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.

B) The Director of the Human Services Agency hereby authorized to execute lease amendments which modify the County's maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
