BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTING A DONATION OF $4,000 FROM THE SAN MATEO CREDIT UNION.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the San Mateo Credit Union wishes to donate $4,000 to the Sheriff’s Office Community Alliance to Revitalize Our Neighborhood (CARON) Program; and

WHEREAS, the CARON Program is a collaboration of schools, the faith community, youth groups and parents to develop, implement and coordinate programs that address the needs of youth; and

WHEREAS, said donation will be used to purchase gift certificates to California State Parks; and

WHEREAS, the gift certificates will provide a safe and fun environment for parents to participate in educational activities with their children: and

WHEREAS, this Board has been requested by the Sheriff to accept said donation for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and finds it necessary and desirable to do so:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED THAT THE Board of Supervisors, on behalf of the County of San Mateo, hereby accepts the San Mateo Credit Union’s donation of $4,000 to the Sheriff’s Office, for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and offers its thanks to the San Mateo Credit Union for the generous donation.
