BACKGROUND/DISCUSSION:
|
The County has conducted a nationwide recruitment for the position of Director. Mr. Porter has been nominated by the County Manager as the best candidate for this position based on his 20 years of progressively responsible experience in private engineering and municipal Public Works agencies. Mr. Porter currently serves as Director of Public Works for the City of Los Altos.

The Charter requires the Board of Supervisors to confirm appointments of department heads nominated by the County Manager.
|

FISCAL IMPACT:
|
Mr. Porter’s monthly salary will be $14,762.
