BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION: 1) AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH ASIAN AMERICAN RECOVERY SERVICES TO ADD SCHOOL BASED MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES TO SERIOUSLY EMOTIONALLY DISTURBED STUDENTS AT MIDDLE SCHOOLS IN SAN MATEO COUNTY FOR THE TERM JULY 1, 2006 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2008, AND TO INCREASE THE MAXIMUM OBLIGATION BY $343,026 FROM $100,000 TO $443,026; AND 2) AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF HEALTH OR THE DIRECTOR'S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY'S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Amendment to the Agreement with Asian American Recovery Services, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars;

 

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to enter into an Amendment to the Agreement to provide school based mental health services to seriously emotionally disturbed students at middle schools in San Mateo County, and to increase the maximum obligation by $343,026 from $100,000 to $443,026, with no change to the term; and

 

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has examined and approved the Amendment to the Agreement as to form and content and desires to enter into same:

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Health or the Director's designee is authorized to execute contract amendments which modify the County's maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate) and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
