Resolution Authorizing the Submittal of an Application and Execution of an Agreement with the California Department of Transportation for a State Airport Loan to Finance the Construction of T-Hangar Buildings, T-Shade Canopies and Related Improvements at the San Carlos Airport.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation, pursuant to Public Utilities Code Section 21602, provides loans for the improvement and operation of airports; and

WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation requires the local agency to adopt a resolution authorizing the submission of an application for a state airport loan; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended the filing of a loan application with the State to help finance the construction of T-hangar buildings,
T-shade canopies and related improvements at the San Carlos Airport; and

WHEREAS, this Board has considered the recommendation of the Director of Public Works.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

1.

The Director of Public Works shall be authorized to file an application with the California Department of Transportation for a state airport loan to finance the construction of T-hangar buildings, T-shade canopies and related improvements at the San Carlos Airport; and

2.

The Director of Public Works shall be authorized to execute a state loan agreement for the project when offered; and

3.

The County of San Mateo certifies its ability to repay the state loan for this project; and

4.

The Director of Public Works is authorized to sign any documents required to apply for and accept these loan funds from the California Department of Transportation on behalf of the County of San Mateo.
