BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH PROVIDEA, INC., TO PROVIDE A COUNTY-WIDE VIDEO CONFERENCING SOLUTION, A MASTER PURCHASE AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZING THE CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER TO MAKE MINOR MODIFICATIONS TO THE PROVIDEA, INC., AGREEMENT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $25,000

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, Providea, Inc., and the County of San Mateo now wish to enter into an Agreement, which will provide a Countywide video conferencing solution including $149,484 for the purchase of hardware and software for the infrastructure, $64,380 for maintenance and support of the infrastructure for three years, beginning April 24, 2007 and ending April 23, 2010 for a total of $213,864;

 

WHEREAS, this Board has reviewed the Master Purchase Agreement request and determined that it is in the County’s best interest to authorize the execution of a Master Purchase Agreement for Countywide purchases of video conferencing equipment to be used for departmental conference and training rooms;

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been requested to grant signature authority to the Chief Information Officer to execute subsequent amendments and minor modifications to the Providea, Inc. Agreement dated April 24, 2007, in an amount not to exceed $25,000;

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the Agreement, said Board has examined and approved same as to both forms and content and desires to enter into same;

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED

That the President of the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed to execute said Agreement as is approved by the County Counsel for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto. That the President of this Board of Supervisors authorize the Purchasing Agent to purchase video conferencing hardware, maintenance, and support, from Providea, Inc. That signature authority is granted to the Chief Information Officer to execute subsequent amendments and minor modifications in an amount not to exceed 25,000.
