RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF A THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH NOR-CAL MEDICAL TEMPS TO PROVIDE TEMPORARY STAFFING OF PHARMACIST AND PHARMACY TECHNICIANS FOR SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED AT SAN MATEO MEDICAL CENTER, INCREASING THE AMOUNT PAYABLE BY $25,000 FROM $100,000 TO $125,000.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on December 31, 2005, the Chief Executive Officer of San Mateo Medical Center approved an agreement with Nor-Cal Medical Temps to provide temporary pharmacy staffing services at San Mateo Medical Center; and

WHEREAS, the Agreement with Nor-Cal Medical Temps authorized total payments of up to $100,000 for a period through March 31, 2007 and invoices in excess of this amount have been received due to an increased need for temporary pharmacy coverage caused by staffing shortages and remain unpaid; and

WHEREAS, this Board, determines that it is in the best interest of the County of San Mateo to amend the agreement with Nor-Cal Medical Temps to increase the total amount payable thereunder by $25,000 from $100,000, to a total amount payable of not to exceed $125,000; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of amendment to the agreement with Nor-Cal Medical Temps, has examined and approved it as to both form and content, and desires to enter into it.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the President of the Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said amendment to the agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signatures thereto.
