*THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING*
*TIM SULLIVAN* *UPON HIS RETIREMENT FROM THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO*
*** * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ***
WHEREAS, Tim Sullivan has personified passion and pride in public service to the residents of San Mateo County for 17 years; and

WHEREAS, Tim Sullivan began his career with the County of San Mateo in 1990 and while working for the County, developed and implemented an Employee Relations Handbook, a rich array of training courses, and helped streamline procedures; and

WHEREAS, Tim Sullivan has nurtured productive relationships with the County's employee organizations through mutual respect and the shared value of serving the residents of the County; and

WHEREAS, Tim Sullivan has developed and maintained excellent partnerships with customers and stakeholders including members of the public, officials of other counties and cities, and non- profit organizations in the County; and

WHEREAS, Tim Sullivan embodies the County values of responsiveness, highly ethical conduct, and collaborative effort; and

WHEREAS, Tim Sullivan is actively sought out by colleagues for consultation regarding human resource issues and employee and labor relations issues; and

WHEREAS, Tim Sullivan provides mentorship to other County employees in the interest of furthering their career development and advancement; and

WHEREAS, in addition to managing his work as Assistant Director of Human Resources, Tim Sullivan conducts numerous training courses as well as County and departmental programs geared towards the development of employees and has been credited with helping employees perform more effectively on the job.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors congratulates Tim Sullivan upon his retirement after 17 years of dedicated, tireless service to the citizens and employees of San Mateo County.
