RESOLUTION SETTING LOBBYIST REGISTRATION FEE PURSUANT TO SAN MATEO COUNTY ORDINANCE CODE SECTION 2.04.50

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, Chapter 2.04 of the San Mateo County Ordinance Code regulates lobbying activities and said chapter requires lobbyists to annually register with the County Counsel ’s office and to submit biannual reports; and

WHEREAS, Section 2.04.050 of Chapter 2.04 provides that a lobbyist registration fee in an amount set by resolution shall be paid at the time of registration and any subsequent re-registration; and

WHEREAS, this Board finds that the cost of processing the registration forms and biannual reports is reasonably estimated at $100;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED effective January 1, 2008 that the fee to be paid by a lobbyist at the time of registration and any subsequent re-registration pursuant to Section 2.04.050 of Chapter 2.04 is set at $100.
