RESOLUTION WAIVING THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL PROCESS, EXTENDING THE AGREEMENT WITH BENEFIT ONE AND ADDING DEPENDENT CARE ASSISTANCE PLAN ADMINISTRATION FOR THE PERIOD FROM JANUARY 1, 2008 THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2013

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County has contracted with Benefit One to provide Health Flexible Spending Account services since 2004; and

WHEREAS, the County seeks a reduction in cost by having Benefit One administer its Dependent Care Assistance Plan (Care$hares) which has been administered internally; and

WHEREAS, the County has met with labor organizations to confirm their acceptance of this proposed external administration of the Dependent Care Assistance Plan.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors waive the Request for Proposal process and extension of the agreement with Benefit One to include Dependent Care Assistance Plan services for the period from January 1, 2008 through December 31, 2013.
