BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING: (A) THE WAIVER OF THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) PROCESS; (B) THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH

EL CONCILIO OF SAN MATEO COUNTY TO PROVIDE CORE SERVICES FOR

THE TERM OF JULY 1, 2007 TO JUNE 30, 2010, IN THE AMOUNT OF $130,416, $130,416 IS NET COUNTY COST; AND (C) THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY TO EXECUTE SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS AND MINOR MODIFICATIONS NOT TO EXCEED AN AGGREGATE OF $25,000, AND TO MAKE MINOR CHANGES IN THE TYPES OF SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES PROVIDED UNDER THE AGREEMENT

 

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement with El Concilio of San Mateo County, which is one of the seven (7) Core Service Agencies, for the purpose of providing the residents of San Mateo County with Core Services, such as information and referral, emergency assistance, case management and other social services; and

 

WHEREAS, the term of this Agreement is July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010 with a total obligation of $130,416 for Fiscal Year 2007-08; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the form of this Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into said Agreement; and

WHEREAS, it is in the County’s best interests to waive the RFP process because El Concilio of San Mateo County (“El Concilio”) is presently providing these same services to the community and the approval of an Agreement with El Concilio will ensure that there is no interruption of services.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that

A. The Request for Proposal process is waived;

B. The President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto; and

C. The Director of the Human Services Agency shall be authorized to execute subsequent amendments and minor modifications not to exceed an aggregate of $25,000, and to make minor changes in the types of services and activities provided under the Agreement.
