BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION: (A) AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH OICW TO PROVIDE ONE-STOP CAREER CENTER SERVICES FOR THE TERM OF JULY 1, 2007 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2010, IN THE AMOUNT OF $ 741,024; AND (B) AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY OR THE DIRECTOR'S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY'S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the Workforce Investment Board has appointed Opportunities Industrialization Center-West (OICW) a One-Stop Operator per Section 121 of the 1998 Workforce Investment Act, to provide structured job search workshops and network activities to Workforce Investment Act eligible participants for FYs 2007-10; and

 

WHEREAS, the County and OICW wish to enter into Agreement for the amount of $741,024 for the term of July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010 for One-Stop Career Center services; and

 

WHEREAS, such services will conform to all WIA requirements; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form such Agreement and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

A. The President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo; and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto; and

B. Authorizing the Director of the Human Services Agency or the Director's designee to execute contract amendments which modify the County's maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
