Resolution Amending the Described Location of Stop Signs |

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that |
WHEREAS, on December 13, 2006, the Director of Public Works recommended that stop signs be placed at the intersection of Elm Street, Alta Vista Road, Rivera Road and Vallecitos Road to create a 4-way stop due to the limited sight distance in the area, and |
WHEREAS, consistent with the recommendation, this Board, on January 9, 2007, adopted Resolution No. 068470, authorizing the installation of said stop signs; and |
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 068470, the Department of Public Works installed the stop signs at the locations indicated in that Resolution in order to best protect the public from risks associated with traffic in the general area of Elm Street, Alta Vista Road, Rivera Road and Vallecitos Road in Montara; and |
WHEREAS, following installation of the stop signs pursuant to Resolution 068470, the Director of Public Works determined that one leg of the intersection is an unnamed private roadway providing access to 1053 Vallecitos Road and that said private roadway is not located within the Vallecitos Road right of way; and |
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that the location be amended to accurately describe the location of the 4-way stop; and |
WHEREAS, this Board has considered and concurs with the recommendation of the Director of Public Works. |
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Resolution authorizing the Director of Public Works to install stop signs at the 4-way intersection is amended to include Elm Street (County Road No. 1114B), Alta Vista Road (County Road No. 361), Rivera Road (County Road No. 1159) and the Unnamed Private Roadway accessing 1053 Vallecitos Road in order to create a 4-way stop. |
