BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION: (A) AUTHORING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH JEFFERSON UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT TO PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE YEAR ROUND YOUTH EMPLOYMENT SERVICES FOR THE TERM OF JULY 1, 2007 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2010, IN THE AMOUNT OF $964,854, THERE IS NO NET COUNTY COST; AND (B) AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY OR THE DIRECTOR'S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY'S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE), AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, The Workforce Investment Board determined the need for youth academic and employment programs for youth who qualify for services under the Workforce Investment Act and in response to this need a Request for Proposal (RFP) was conducted; and

 

WHEREAS, Jefferson High School District was awarded an Agreement in the amount of $964,854 over a three year term of July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010 to provide comprehensive year round youth employment services; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Agreement and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

A. The President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo; and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto; and

B. Authorizing the Director of the Human Services Agency or the Director's designee to execute contract amendments which modify the County's maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
