RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENTS WITH CHILD CARE COORDINATING COUNCIL (CCCC) AND PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR CHILDHOOD EDUCATION (PACE) TO PROVIDE STAGE 2 CHILD CARE AND DEVELOPMENT SERVICES, THE TERM OF EACH AGREEMENT REMAINS JULY 1, 2005 THROUGH JUNE 20, 2008, INCREASING THE AMOUNTS BY $1,697,406 TO $5,769,742 FOR CCCC; AND $424,352 TO $1,442,436 FOR PACE

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo receives yearly allocations from the California Department of Education (CDE) to administer Stage 2 child care and developmental services through the Child Care Coordinating Council and the Professional Association For Childhood Education who are the specified Contractors for such services; and

 

WHEREAS, the County is the fiscal agent for these funds and on July 1, 2005, the County entered into Agreements for the term of July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2008, with CCCC by Resolution Number 067447 and PACE by Resolution Number 067448; and

 

WHEREAS, the County and the Contractors wish to amend the Agreements for the purpose of adding allocations from CDE for continued services in FY 2007-08 in the amount of $1,697,406 for CCCC and in the amount of $424,352 for PACE for a total obligation of $5,769,742 for CCCC and $1,442,436 for PACE; and

 

WHEREAS, This Board has been presented with a form of such Second Amendments to the Agreements and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Second Amendment to the Agreements for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
