Resolution Authorizing the President of the Board of Supervisors to execute the Agreement with the City of Redwood City for Providing Fire Protection and Emergency Response Services for the Fire Protection Sub-Zone located in San Mateo County Service Area No. 8 (CSA-8)

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code, Section 31000, County may contract with independent contractors for the furnishing of such services to or for County or any Department thereof;

WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code, Section 23210.1, County Service Area No.8 was created on November 21^st, 1972 to provide for fire protection and garbage service in certain unincorporated areas of the County; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends that the City of Redwood City be retained for the purpose of Fire Protection and Emergency Response services for the Fire Protection Sub-Zone located in San Mateo County Service Area No. 8 .

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors is authorized to execute the Agreement with the City of Redwood City for Providing Fire Protection and Emergency Response Services for the Fire Protection Sub-Zone located in San Mateo County Service Area No. 8
