BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH MILLS-PENINSULA HEALTH SERVICES TO ADJUST THE RATE PAID FOR “O/P (OUTPATIENT) ALL OTHER SERVICES” FROM “55% OF CHARGES” TO 35% OF CHARGES FOR THE PERIOD FROM JANUARY 1, 2007 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2007.

AUTHORIZING THE REDUCTION THE CONTRACT WITH MILLS-PENINSULA HEALTH SERVICES BY (SIXTY THOUSAND DOLLARS) $60,000 FOR THE CONTRACT PERIOD JANUARY 1, 2007 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2007.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on February 7, 2006, this Board authorized resolution number 067814, pursuant to which the County entered into an Agreement with Mills Peninsula for certain medical services; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its
consideration and acceptance an amendment to the Agreement, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby Mills-Peninsula Health Services has agreed to reduce its rates for certain medical services; and

WHEREAS, the Board has determined that the best interest of the County would be served by accepting the reduction in rates; and

WHEREAS, this Board has examined and approved the proposed amendment as to both form and content and desires to enter into it.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the
President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to process and execute said amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
