BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION: A. WAIVING THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL PROCESS; B. AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH SYNTELLECT, INC. TO PROVIDE SOFTWARE SUPPORT AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR THE VISTA FRAMEWORK AND PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AS NEEDED FOR SYSTEM MODIFICATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $126,184 FOR THE TERM OF AUGUST 1, 2007 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2010, OF WHICH $18,928 IS NET COUNTY COST; AND C. AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY OR THE DIRECTOR’S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY’S MAXIMUM CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement with Syntellect, Inc. for the purpose of providing software support and maintenance services for the Vista framework and professional services as needed for system modifications, in the amount of $126,184 for the term of August 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board is being requested to waive the Request for Proposal process for this Agreement since Contractor is considered a sole-source provider of these services; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of this Agreement for its consideration and acceptance desires to enter into the same.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the

A. Request for Proposal process is hereby waived;

B. President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for an on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto; and

C. Director of the Human Services Agency is authorized to execute contract amendments which modify the County’s maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
