BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION 1) AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE BRAUNER COMPANY FOR FINANCIAL ADVISOR SERVICES FOR CONSERVED CLIENTS FOR THE TERM JULY 1, 2007 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2010 IN THE AMOUNT OF $750,000; AND 2) AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF HEALTH OR THE DIRECTOR'S DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AMENDMENTS WHICH MODIFY THE COUNTY'S MAXIMUM FISCAL OBLIGATION BY NO MORE THAN $25,000 (IN AGGREGATE) AND/OR MODIFY THE CONTRACT TERM AND/OR SERVICES SO LONG AS THE MODIFIED TERM OR SERVICES IS/ARE WITHIN THE CURRENT OR REVISED FISCAL PROVISIONS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the Aging and Adult Services Division shall provide a Public Guardian/Conservatorship Program, which serves frail elderly, physically disabled and mentally disabled residents who are substantially unable to provide for their own personal needs of health, food, clothing or shelter and/or are unable to manage financial resources or resist fraud or undue influence; and

 

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to enter into an Agreement to provide financial advisor services for the period of July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2010 for an amount not to exceed $250,000 each fiscal year for a total obligation of $750,000; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has examined the Agreement and has approved it as to both form and content:

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement with The Brauner Company for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Health or the Director's designee is authorized to execute contract amendments which modify the County's maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate) and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.
