RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH WILLIAMS SCOTSMAN, INC. FOR THE LEASE OF TWO PORTABLE MODULAR BUILDINGS, INCREASING THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT PAYABLE BY $16,000 TO $113,009 AND EXTENDING THE TERM OF THE AGREEMENT TO DECEMBER 31, 2007

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, in December, 2000, the Purchasing Agent approved an agreement with Williams Scotsman, Inc. to lease two portable modular buildings located at 225 West 37th Avenue in San Mateo to house San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC) programs; and

 

WHEREAS, SMMC programs remain housed in these modular buildings; and

 

WHEREAS, negotiations are currently underway to obtain and exercise a buyout option for the two buildings; and

 

WHEREAS, it is necessary to extend the term of the lease for the modular buildings in order to complete the negotiations; and

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Amendment to the Agreement, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the term of the lease of the modular buildings will be extended by twelve months for the period January through December 31, 2007 and the total maximum amount payable under the Agreement will be increased by $16,000 for a total of $113,009; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has considered the Amendment and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into it.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
