Adopt a resolution:

VISION ALIGNMENT

Commitment: Responsive, effective and collaborative government.

Goal 20: Government and local governments effectively communicate, collaborate and develop strategic approaches to issues affecting the entire County. The purchase of the subject property contributes to this goal by providing a continuum of housing for emancipated foster youth.

BACKGROUND

At the direction of the Human Services Agency, the Real Property Division pursued the acquisition of property in South San Francisco for the emancipated foster youth program. The property consists of a parcel of approximately 6,000 square feet on APN: 012-203-100, improved with three attached residential units of approximately 4,028 square feet (the “Property”). The Property is zoned R-2H, Medium Density Residential, under the jurisdiction of the City of South San Francisco.

DISCUSSION

A notice of intention of the Board of Supervisors is required prior to the Board action to approve the purchase of property.

Upon adoption of the notice of intent, the Clerk of the Board will publish the notice of the public hearing to be held on September 11, 2007 to consider whether this Board desires to complete the purchase.

FISCAL IMPACT

There is no fiscal impact from this resolution as it merely authorizes the Notice of Intention and sets the public hearing date.
