SUBJECT:

Agreement with Donnis Hobson, M.D.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Adopt a resolution:

    1. Authorizing the President of the Board to execute an Agreement with Donnis Hobson, M.D. to provide specialty plastic surgery services for the period July 12., 2007 through June 30, 2008 in an amount not to exceed $124,500.

    2. Authorizing the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of San Mateo Medical Center or the CEO's designee to execute contract amendments which modify the County's maximum fiscal obligation by no more than $25,000 (in aggregate), and/or modify the contract term and/or services so long as the modified term or services is/are within the current or revised fiscal provisions.

This Agreement contributes to this commitment and goal by providing specialty plastic surgery services to county patients, specifically in the area of non-cosmetic post-traumatic, post-cancer and hand reconstructive care.

BACKGROUND / DISCUSSION:

Plastic surgery services are provided under the general direction of the Medical Director

of San Mateo Medical Center (SMMC). Such care includes professional plastic surgery services, specifically in the area of non-cosmetic post-traumatic, post-cancer and hand reconstructive care.

 

Dr. Hobson has provided professional plastic surgery services at SMMC since June 2006. She performs surgeries one full day every other week and provides clinic every other week.

 

The Contractor has assured compliance with the County's Contractor Employee Jury Service Ordinance, as well as all other contract provisions that are required by County ordinance and administrative memoranda, including but not limited to insurance, hold harmless, non-discrimination and equal benefits.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

The total of the Agreement is $124,500, which is the same as last year. Funding for this Agreement is included in the Tentatively Adopted Fiscal Year 2007- 2008 Budget.
