RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY TO SUBMIT A PROJECT APPLICATION TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES CLAIMING REIMBURSEMENT FROM THE DISASTER ASSISTANCE ACT PROGRAM IN THE AMOUNT OF $18,532.93 FOR COST INCURRED FROM THE OPERATIONS OF THE WARMING CENTERS

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the State of California Office of Emergency Services declared a State of Emergency during the winter due to extremely cold weather conditions; and

WHEREAS, responding to this need, the Human Services Agency Center on Homeless opened the Warming Centers in January 2007; and

WHEREAS, due to the State of Emergency declaration, the Human Services Agency is able to claim reimbursement in the amount of $18,532.93 for cost incurred from the operations of the Warming Centers, and to do so, the Human Services Agency will submit the Project Application to the State of California Office of Emergency Services; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors has been presented with claiming documents: Designation of Applicant’s Agent Resolution, and Project Application to the California Disaster Assistance Act Program, for its review and has determined that it is

in the County’s best interest to proceed with submitting such application and claiming reimbursement.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the

President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Designation of Applicant’s Agent Resolution for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest the signature thereto.
