Resolution Designating New Twenty-Minute Time Limited
Parking Zones on Douglas Avenue and Flood Avenue.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, Section 22507 of the California Vehicle Code provides that local authorities may, by ordinance or resolution, restrict the stopping, parking or standing of vehicles in public rights-of-way; and

 

WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Ordinance Code Section 7.28.010 authorizes the Board of Supervisors to prohibit, restrict or limit parking by resolution; and

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that there is a need for new twenty-minute time limited parking zones on portions of Douglas Avenue and Flood Avenue to provide for the orderly movement of traffic; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors has reviewed and concurs with the recommendation of the Director of Public Works.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

 

1.

Twenty-minute time limited parking zones are declared to exist at the following locations:

 
 

Ø

On the southerly side of DOUGLAS AVENUE commencing at a point
154 feet westerly of the intersection of SPRING STREET and extending westerly a distance of 20 feet, more or less.

 
 

Ø

On the westerly side of FLOOD AVENUE commencing at a point 180 feet northerly of FIRST AVENUE and extending northerly a distance of 25 feet, more or less.

 

2.

Said twenty-minute time limited parking zones shall remain in effect until rescinded by the Board of Supervisors.
