RESOLUTION

THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION HONORING

DIONNE CRUZ MILLER

WHEREAS, Dionne Cruz Miller began her employment with the County of San Mateo over four and a half years ago, in 2003, when she assumed the key position of Vice President of Ancillary and Support Services at the San Mateo Medical Center; and

WHEREAS, during her employment with the County, Dionne Cruz Miller embodied the values of the County and the San Mateo Medical Center by performing her duties with outstanding competence and by demonstrating an unsurpassed passion for opening the doors to excellence in healthcare to all residents of the County, including the most vulnerable among us; and

WHEREAS, owing directly to Dionne Cruz Miller’s exceptional efforts and leadership, the San Mateo Medical Center has significantly reduced drug costs, established on-site magnetic resonance imaging facilities, successfully installed and integrated cutting-edge clinical information technology systems, markedly improved safety systems and disaster preparedness, and successfully completed surveys by the Joint Commission, the California Department of Health Services and other bodies; and

WHEREAS, Dionne Cruz Miller’s efforts and accomplishments have improved the quality of medical care throughout the San Mateo Medical Center system and have made it possible for the County to deliver such care in a more cost-effective manner.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, hereby honors and commends DIONNE CRUZ MILLER for her dedicated and committed service to the County of San Mateo and the San Mateo Medical Center and congratulates her on her new role as Vice President of Clinical Services at the California Pacific Medical Center.
