BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, SITTING AS THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE COMMERCIAL LEASE FOR RETAIL SPACE LOCATED AT EL CAMINO VILLAGE

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, sitting as the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the Housing Authority, as Landlord, and Yahia Shehadeh and Sabah Echkantana (DBA Jaffa City Café), as Tenants, entered into a commercial lease agreement (the “Lease”) for property located at 7622 El Camino Real in Colma, CA on June 1, 2000; and

 

WHEREAS, the terms of the Lease provided for an initial term of three years and two optional renewal periods; and

 

WHEREAS, the Landlord and Tenant wish to extend the Lease for its second and final renewal period at the rate of $2,409.00 per month; and

 

WHEREAS, the rental income earned through the Lease of commercial space located at El Camino Village supports the operations of the Housing Authority’s public housing site.

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors, sitting as the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo, for its consideration and acceptance, a second amendment to the Lease extending the term, increasing the rent, and amending the uses thereunder (the “Second Amendment”) reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, and this Board has examined and approved the same as to form and content and desires to enter into the same.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the County of San Mateo approve the Second Amendment.
