RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH SHELTER NETWORK TO ADD SUPPORTED HOUSING SERVICES AND ADDITIONAL TRANSITIONAL HOUSING SERVICES AND TO INCREASE THE MAXIMUM OBLIGATION BY $82,570 TO A NEW MAXIMUM OF $284,710 WITH NO CHANGE TO THE TERM OF THE AGREEMENT OF MAY 1, 2006 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2008

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that
|
|
WHEREAS, on July 18, 2006, your Board adopted Resolution 68150 approving an Agreement with Shelter Network for the provision of transitional housing for seriously mentally ill individuals at risk of homelessness for the period May 1, 2006 through June 30, 2008, for a maximum obligation of $142,560; and

|
WHEREAS, on December 5, 2006, your Board adopted Resolution 68412 approving an Amendment to the Agreement with Shelter Network to increase the number of dedicated transitional beds from three beds per night to five beds per night and increasing the maximum obligation by $59,580 to a new maximum of $202,140; and
|
|
WHEREAS, both parties now wish to again amend the Agreement to increase the number of dedicated transitional beds from five beds per night to eight beds per night and to include the provision of furnished housing and supportive housing services, and to increase the maximum obligation by $82,570 to a new maximum of $284,710; and
|
|
WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the Amendment to the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the Amendment to the Agreement:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is authorized to execute said Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
